Salome Zourabichvili was not with people, she was among people. The Government was with people, brought candidate status to people. Such a statement made today the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia in response to the journalist’s question about why the President was not allowed to make a speech at the event dedicated to the candidate status on December 15.
“Actually, the Government of Georgia was with people, the Government brought candidate status to people, and Ms. Salome was not with people, but among people. She was really among people, but she is not with people, especially after she broke the oath taken before God and the country, which was confirmed by the decision of the Constitutional Court.
When she violated the oath, violated the Constitution, willfully and grossly, she left herself behind the people. Therefore Ms. Salome put herself in this situation by violating the Constitution. The constitutional verdict against her has already been pronounced by the Constitutional Court and also by the parliamentary majority, on behalf of the majority of the population of Georgia.
Among them, this behavior of her once again confirms that she is completely directed to create divisions in the society and present her country as a bad country. The Government differs from some agitated oppositionists in that we are consistent and not impulsive. Ms. Salome violated the President"s oath, violated the Constitution of Georgia, this was confirmed by the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Most importantly, the President declares that she will continue to violate the Constitution of Georgia. Therefore, a person who violates the Constitution of Georgia cannot be with people”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
