We expect that in 2023 the economy of Georgia will grow by approximately 7% - Vakhtang Tsintsadze

Based on the economic growth data published today, we can already summarize the trends of economic growth in 2023, said Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, while commenting the rate of economic growth for the month of November 2023 by GeoStat.

“First of all, I would like to note that the economy of Georgia maintains the high economic growth rate recorded in 2021-2022, and we expect that in 2023 the economy of Georgia will grow by about 7%.

According to January-November data, trade, construction, transport and warehousing, information communications and banking and insurance sectors made a positive contribution to economic growth. Economic growth was facilitated by the trends observed in terms of investment activities, as well as the indicators of income from the export of goods and tourism.

We expect that 2024 will continue with even more positive trends and the positive dynamics that have been recorded in the economy of Georgia for the last three years will be preserved and will continue”, - said Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
