The negotiations regarding the international project, which involves the laying of an electric cable on the bottom of the Black Sea, are in a very active phase - in this project, Georgia positions itself not only as a transit country, but also as an exporter of electricity, said today the Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan.
“There is excellent communication between the leaders of Georgia and Azerbaijan. Last year and the year before, President Aliyev made an official visit to Georgia, and the Georgian Prime Minister visited Azerbaijan twice this year. Several events are planned, including the intergovernmental commission meeting in Baku this spring. I believe that through these formats, we will achieve concrete results.
Of course, we often hear and the negotiations are in a very active phase regarding the international project, which involves laying an electric cable on the bottom of the Black Sea. I think that the mentioned stage will end very soon and we will all witness involvement in this project, among them.
Georgia is positioning itself not only as a transitory country, but primarily as an electricity exporting country, and accordingly, there is a great emphasis on the direction of renewable energy, its expansion and strengthening, this is one of the most important tasks and, of course, our government is doing its best for this project to move to the next stage on time”, - said Zurab Pataradze.
