The meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament convened on the topic of current events and challenges in the region was held in a semi-closed mode.
At the meeting of the Committee, diplomats assigned to 3 countries were listened.
In particular, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey, Giorgi Janjghava, and the Ambassador to Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze, are invited.
According to the Ambassadors, along with Azerbaijan, diplomatic relations with Armenia are also at a high level. In addition to the strengthening of diplomatic ties, tourism has also increased with the neighboring country. Tourism is the leading direction in the relations between Georgia and Turkey. As the Ambassador said, the number of visitors has exceeded one million, and the trade turnover is close to three billion. In terms of investments, Turkey remains a leading country.
