Under the leadership of the Georgian Dream’s Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, the delegation of the ruling party continues its meetings in Shanghai within the framework of its visit to the People’s Republic of China.

Today, members of the delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai Council, Chen Jing. After the meeting, an official dinner was held in honor of the Georgian Dream delegation.

Before the meeting held in the Council, the delegation visited the Shanghai Development Exhibition Center, where they were introduced to the economic plan for the development of Shanghai.

As part of the visit to the People’s Republic of China, high-level meetings were held in Beijing. The Georgian Dream delegation met with the head of the International Department of the Chinese ruling party, Minister Liu Jinchao, Deputy Minister Sun Khaian, Vice President of the Development Research Department of the State Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National People’s Congress, Chinese Trade and Commerce Deputy Minister.

The delegation of the ruling party includes the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Giorgi Volski, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Irakli Chikovani, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Sectoral Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songhulashvili, Chairperson of the Agrarian Affairs Committee, Nino Tsilosani and the First Deputy Chairman of the Sports Committee Viktor Sanikidze.
