The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia had a meeting with the Director of the Eastern Neighborhood and Institution Building of the European Commission (NEAR.C), Adrienn Kiraly.

During the meeting, Shalva Papuashvili extended his congratulations to Adrienn Kiraly on her appointment as director and expressed his willingness to collaborate with her.

Kiraly congratulated Georgia on its EU candidate status and expressed her interest in the progress of the 9 steps required for EU integration.

The Speaker emphasized the fruitful cooperation between the Parliament of Georgia and the European Commission during the process of working on the 12 recommendations from the European Union that led to Georgia being granted candidate status. He provided detailed information to Adrienn Kiraly about the current activities and future plans of the Georgian Parliament in terms of implementing the 9 steps.

Adrienn Kiraly expressed her readiness to support Georgia in various areas, including sectoral alignment with the European Union.
