Various types of firearms, ammunition and cartridges were seized as evidence from the apartment of Ucha Abashidze, airsoft weapons are among the recovered weapons, reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“We hear separate speculations regarding the person detained yesterday [May 9] for the illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition by the police.

We explain once again that as a result of the investigative actions conducted within the framework of the current investigation, various types of firearms and ammunition, were recovered from the apartment of the arrested person as evidence. Among the recovered weapons are airsoft weapons.

The seized evidence has been sent for examination and the investigative activities are continuing”, - says the Ministry.
