Leuville Estate is a part of our history and valuable heritage, its reconstruction to compete in 2026 - Kobakhidze

The Prime Minister of Georgia arrived in Leuville Estate and inspected the ongoing reconstruction works, which in his words, is “significant for each Georgian”.

“The reconstruction works will be completed in 2026. Leuville Estate is a part of our history and valuable heritage. We must preserve this most precious heritage for future generations, and the work that is going on now aims at this”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The château’s transfer to Georgia was agreed with France in principle in 2011 after the estate was recognised as a symbolic place for Georgia and a place of historical importance. The 4.5-hectare venue, located 37 km south of Paris, was transferred to Georgia in 2016, with the agreement signed by the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues and descendants and representatives of members of the 1918-1921 Georgian Government.
