The Employees of MIA Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, on the area of responsibility of the Border Sector “Charali” of Akhaltsikhe Division, detained the person with previous convictions in the Republic of Turkiye (E.SH. Born in 2002) for the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia and violating the rules of transporting firearm on the Border of Georgia.

The crime envisages imprisonment up to 8 years.

The investigation revealed, that accused person, avoiding the check point, from the Republic of Turkiye to Georgia, attempted the illegal crossing of the State Border of Georgia. He did not obey the legal demand of the Border Guards about the stopping and tried to hide and escape.

The Employees of the Border Police, as a result of operative – investigative measures, detained E. Sh. in a few meters from the place of illegal border crossing. The Border Guards inspected the personal belongings and as an evidence seized 4 handmade different types of firearms and 13 ball cartridge.
