Irakli Chikovani meets Armenian Defense Minister

Armenian Defense Minister is on his official visit to Tbilisi. The Georgian Minister of Defense hosted the guest. Suren Papikyan and Irakli Chikovani held a face-to-face meeting following the official welcoming ceremony.

The parties talked about the importance of maintaining strong, friendly relations between neighbouring countries and ensuring peace and stability in the region. They also highlighted the strategic partnership declaration signed in January, which aims to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.

During an extended meeting, the ministers reviewed the 2024 bilateral cooperation plan between the defence agencies of Georgia and Armenia.

After the discussions, Suren Papikyan honored fallen soldiers at the Heroes’ Memorial, paying tribute to those who died in the battles for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
