The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held a meeting with the Speakers of the Factions included in the structure of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag.

The parties touched upon Georgia-EU relations, the role of Georgia in policy on evading the sanctions imposed on Russia, the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, the domestic political situation and the pre-electoral milieu.

Samkharadze informed his German colleagues about the grave situation and the threats in the occupied regions of Georgia: “At the meeting, we overviewed various issues. It was an open discussion. We touched upon quite a heavy expressions, made by the Chair of the Bundestag Committee, Michael Roth during his visit to Georgia; I expressed my concern that the German high official insults the Georgian people and the Georgian Church”.
