The Prime Minister of Georgia addressed journalists regarding US Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s statement, which alleged that he had requested the U.S. halt funding for critical non-governmental organizations.

“I did not make such a request. This is a blatant lie, and it is distressing that such a falsehood comes from someone in the high position of a U.S. Senator.

This situation is extremely sad and troubling”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
