We highly appreciate the efforts of the Georgian Government to contribute to regional and international peace and stability. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Armenia made at a joint briefing with his Georgian colleague.
Nikol Pashinyan also underscored the development of relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership. He stressed the importance of both countries recognizing each other’s territorial integrity.
“We have managed to expand comprehensive cooperation between Georgia and Armenia in all areas. The best indicator of this is that in January this year, cooperation between our countries reached a new, higher level - that of a strategic partnership. This has allowed us to create a viable mechanism for effective contacts based on mutual interests, shared principles, and democratic values.
Both Georgia and Armenia had unconditionally recognised each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, this is one of the key factors for achieving stability and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
Dear Prime Minister, I truly believe that we have a historic opportunity to end the conflicts in the South Caucasus and create lasting peace in our region. I am also sure that the beneficiaries of this peace are not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also Georgia and Turkey. Iran will also benefit. That is why, despite all the difficulties, our government will steadily and unyieldingly continue to make all efforts to make peace in the region possible. We highly appreciate the efforts of the Government of Georgia to contribute to regional and international peace and stability”, - said Nikol Pashinyan.
