Georgian people, with national unity, defeated the traitorous, oppressive, anti-national, anti-Georgian and foreign interests political force. Such a statement the Chairman of Georgian Dream, made during a speech at the regional event of the ruling party election campaign in Rustavi.

“After 12 years, we can confidently state that peace and freedom have settled in the country, business has been completely freed and people can do their work in peace, freedom of speech, expression and media is protected, state institutions today protect the interests of our citizens and the state, people have gained confidence in the state and they know for sure that state will not only oppress, but protect every citizen, protect them from war and stand by every family in trials, after 12 years the country is a candidate state for the European Union.

12 years have passed since, under the leadership of the founder of our party, the Georgian people, with national unity, defeated the traitorous, oppressive, anti-national, anti-Georgian and foreign interests political force.

Each of us remembers that period well and we know for sure that, if it were not for the unity of that scale and spirit, and most importantly, the decisive factor of our leader Bidzina Ivanishvili, his example of personal dedication and self-sacrifice, defeating this evil would have been impossible.

It was the first of October 2012 that became the watershed between the dark past and the bright future of our country. This very day became a turning point, and in a country where violence against people, confiscation and abduction of private property, torture and killing of prisoners, merciless crackdown on peaceful protests and throwing their own citizens on the streets, surrendering and selling territories, with the consent of the Georgian people, we started building a state for the main concern - protecting people and the national interests of our country.

Today, our citizens see and most importantly feel that despite the challenges that still exist, the rate of poverty, unemployment is decreasing, social policy has improved many times and is aimed at the interests of citizens, we have tripled the country’s budget and economy.

As a result of the agricultural and production promotion projects developed by the state, the products produced in our country are successfully sold in the US, Europe, Russia, China and other markets of the world, and the reforms carried out in the direction of healthcare, compared to the initial conditions that we encountered, are one of the best in Europe. Of course, challenges remain, but our government has the vision and ability to solve these problems”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
