The World Bank’s Prosperity Data published the Access to Justice Index, based on 11 years of research by the World Justice Project, which assesses the features of human rights and democracy in 175 countries.
The country earned 82% on a 100% assessment system, which is all-time high. The Index examines the extent to which citizens enjoy “safe and effective” access to justice.
Georgia ranks 6th in the world, and 1st on the Eurasian continent based on the improvement of the assessment since 2012. During this 11-year period, Georgia managed to improve its ranking by 21%, which is the best result in Europe and Asia.
The Index revealed that Georgia was outperforming 1 country from the G7, 8 members of the EU and NATO, and all EU membership candidate countries. Georgia ranks 1st in the post-Soviet space and is ahead of all neighbouring countries.
