The Mayor of Tbilisi said interference in domestic political affairs was “unacceptable”, and further added that the radicalism in the country was “always doomed to failure”.

“In Georgia, instead of the domestic opposition, high-ranking officials of the US conduct elections. This is the reality, which is certainly regrettable. It is categorically unacceptable to interfere in the internal political affairs of Georgia.

As the elections are approaching, these processes and statements will become even more intense. They have arranged everything - where, when, who should come out, what should be said, in order to help the [domestic] opposition as much as possible to somehow save [their] face and get closer to the [5%] electoral threshold. This is the current situation, which is sad and very bad, because no one should be given the opportunity to interfere in the internal political processes of the country.

After the previous parliamentary elections, the results of parallel counting had been falsified with the funding of non-governmental organisations… These processes continue today, but I repeat once again - no matter what statements they make, nothing will help the radical opposition. Radicalism is always doomed to failure. Evil will always be defeated in this country and peace, prosperity and the development of the country will triumph”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
