The First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, met with Nobel Peace Prize nominee Besarion Shengelia.

The parties discussed new educational projects and a peace initiative led by Shengelia. The conversation focused on integrating and updating new educational methodologies in the system, targeting both preschool and early-grade levels.

“The educational project includes a new approach to teaching the alphabet for children worldwide. The educational books that have been published are especially important for Georgian emigrants, allowing them to maintain an emotional connection with their native language and to learn it through simplified methods. It is also crucial to update the educational system for both preschoolers and early grades”, - said Mariam Lashkhi.

Additionally, she noted that Shengelia has initiated the organization of a global forum in Georgia.

The parties agreed on future collaboration.
