The Election Administration will once again remind voters about the process for creating a unified voter list.
“Due to high public interest, we would like to clarify once again the procedure for creating a unified voter list.
Attention real estate owners: Please note the following explanation.
Voters who were previously registered at a certain address and are not currently registered elsewhere are, in accordance with the Election Code, included in the voter list for that address solely for election purposes. This does not imply that they hold legal residency at that address.
In all other cases, real estate owners are advised to contact the Public Service Development Agency to resolve the matter.
The current legislation provides voters with the opportunity to participate in elections, who is deregistered according to the place of residence, or whose registration has been declared void by a decision of the Public Service Development Agency, or who is registered without indicating the address.
A voter who is deregistered according to the place of residence, or whose registration has been declared void
In this case, voter shall be entered in the unified list of voters in accordance with a last registration location (address) or an actual (temporary) location of residence. Accordingly, the data of another voter listed at the voter"s address is for election purposes only, as this voter has either been removed from the residency registration or their registration has been declared invalid.
If a voter’s actual (temporary) residential address is not recorded in the electronic database of Public Service Development Agency, they must report to the agency and register at their actual (temporary) address no later than October 5.
Voter who is registered without indicating address
If a voter’s actual (temporary) residential address is not recorded in the electronic database of Public Service Development Agency, they must report to the agency and register at their actual (temporary) address no later than October 5.
If voter does no register based on actual (temporary) residential address (address), in that case, the voter is included in the unified list of voters in accordance with the last registration of their actual (temporary) residence address. Therefore, such voters, solely for voting purposes, will appear in voters’ list according to the last registration location as recorded by the Public Service Development Agency.
It is important to emphasize that, according to the compliance audit conducted by the American company PRO V and V, “Voters cannot be duplicated in the voter lists across different precincts”. Consequently, a voter with the right to vote is included in the voter lists only in accordance with the rules and deadlines established by law”, - reads the statement.
