I would like to ask the US Ambassador to look deeper into the activities of her staff who are making cards containing lies - Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of Georgia calls on the US Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan, to examine the actions of her Embassy staff following recent statements posted by the US Embassy on its Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, these statements contained inaccurate information and serious accusations against the Georgian Government. For example, particular issue involving the US-funded NGO, ISFED, which accused the Georgian Dream of falsifying 46,000 votes during the [2020] election process. While the US Embassy downplayed this as a "minor flaw," it was a serious accusation that had significant consequences, fueling opposition attempts to challenge the Government.

The error between PVT and the Central Election Commission was 2.4%, not 1.8% as the embassy claimed. The ISFED accusation of electoral fraud had provided the opposition with grounds to attempt to undermine the government, which the embassy described as a minor error.

If needed, I am ready to discuss these concerns directly with the US Ambassador, as the country heads into the next phase of the election process”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
