The US will be happy to work with any democratic government elected as a result of free and fair elections conducted in an inclusive manner - Robin Dunnigan

The US will be happy to work with any democratic government elected as a result of free and fair elections conducted in an inclusive manner. Such a statement made today the US Ambassador to Georgia.

“It is critical that voters know when they vote that they know exactly who they are voting for and what their representative or party is going to do for them. The only way we get the truth and cut through the disinformation, polarizing campaign and rhetoric is through the media and civil society, and that’s why I"m so supportive of the media and civil society organizations in Georgia because of the role they play in ensuring that the people of Georgia who go to the polls know What should you vote for? We do not pick winners and losers - we, the United States of America, are happy to work with any democratically elected government that is elected in free and fair inclusive and open elections.

I sincerely hope that the real VIP of this election - the Georgian voter, will come out to vote, will know that his choice is secret and will know what he is voting for. I would also like to say a big thank you to my team at the American Embassy, our local staff in Georgia and the American staff who work very closely together.

We are one team at the United States Embassy, we have one mission and we work seamlessly together and I am extremely proud of the work they have done. I hope that all our countries, including mine, will have free and fair elections that will result in a government that reflects the will and desire of the people”, - said Robin Dunnigan.
