Peace, rapid economic growth are two main factors determining Georgian Dream’s high approval rating - Irakli Kobakhidze

The Prime Minister of Georgia attributed the Georgian Dream’s high rating to 2 key factors: the maintenance of peace and the country’s rapid economic growth. Speaking at the presentation of the party’s election program, Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that a special focus will continue to be placed on economic development.

“We often talk about the fact that we have a historical maximum in terms of rating, and this is mainly due to two factors: the first is that, despite the most difficult challenges, peace is ensured in our country, and the second main factor that leads to the high rating of Georgian Dream is the rapid economic Growth, which has distinguished our country in the last 3 - 4 years.

Peace has been preserved in Georgia despite significant challenges, and that economic growth over the last 3-4 years has been a key factor in the party’s popularity.

The further economic development will be prioritized in order to improve social conditions and strengthen Georgia’s foreign policy standing.

Special emphasis will be placed on economic development, as the country’s progress in all directions is closely linked to the strength of the economy”, - said the Prime Minister.

He further announced the country’s economy was forecasted to grow to at least GEL 130 billion by 2028 and emphasised that maintaining peace was “crucial” for achieving this goal. Irakli Kobakhidze compared Georgia’s economic progress from 2012 to 2024, highlighting the growth in purchasing power and the rise in the global ranking from 109th to 77th place.
