The EU and the U.S. threatened Georgia with sanctions because the Georgian government refuses to be a puppet of Brussels and Washington, said the MEP from Bulgary, Petar Volgin, at the debate on Georgia in the European Parliament.
“The Georgian government refuses to be a puppet of Brussels and Washington. This country has defended its own interests, not those are foreign powers. In Georgia, important laws have been passed, including one on foreign agents and another on LGBT propaganda. It has been proven that foreign NGOs and journalists are working against Georgian interests. These structures, support US and globalist doctrines under another cloak. And they undermine the national state. They want to make Georgia another Euro-Atlantic puppet, another colony. But there is no democratic backsliding in Georgia. I hope that Georgia will not undergo the fate of many EU countries who are now puppets of other nations”, - said Petar Volgin.
