As soon as the war in Ukraine ends, that is, the 1st front ends, the interest in a 2nd front will be removed, relations between Georgia and the US will be rebooted - Kobakhidze

The Prime Minister of Georgia claimed an alleged “pressure” on the country and Government would be “lifted” with the end of the ongoing war in Ukraine.

“Georgia would face serious risks with a serious interest in opening a second front for the ongoing conflict… As soon as the war in Ukraine ends, that is, the first front ends, the interest in a second front will immediately be removed and relations between Georgia and the United States will be rebooted”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

He also reviewed the current state of relations with the US by highlighting his Government’s readiness to “take the utmost care of US’s reputation” in the country as “we look forward to rebooting relations next year”.

Rebooting relations with US will be one of our main tasks after the end of the war in Ukraine. The war must end, that is the main thing. While the war in Ukraine continued, specific forces still hope that a second front will open in the country”, - added the Head of the Government.
