The Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, attended the solemn service on the occasion of Svetitskhovloba (a national holiday dedicated to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral) in Mtskheta.

The service in the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral was delivered by the Locum Tenens of the Patriarch of Georgia, the Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, Shio (Mujiri) along with the Synode members and clergymen.

The solemn service in Mtskheta was also attended by: the Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze; Tbilisi Mayor, Kakha Kaladze; the Chair of Abkhazia AR Government, Levan Mgaloblishvili; and the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities.
