Salome Zourabichvili, the President of Georgia, pardoned 12 convicted persons today.
“9 convicted persons from among those pardoned were fully released from serving the sentence imposed in the form of imprisonment in the penitentiary institution. The term of the remaining sentence to be served in the penitentiary institution was reduced for 2 convicts.
The act of amnesty also affected 1 person sentenced to probation, who was fully released from the further serving of conditional imprisonment’, - reads the statement of the Presidential Administration.
