Due to the specifics of the work, monetary and payment operations will be carried out as usual during the public holidays – NBG

In line with the Government of Georgia’s decision, January 3, 6, and the period from January 8 to 10, 2025, have been declared public holidays. However, due to the critical nature of its activities, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) will ensure that monetary and payment operations continue as usual during this time.

On January 3, 6, and from January 8 to 10, the NBG’s payment and securities settlement systems, cash operations, and monetary instruments will remain fully accessible to commercial banks. This ensures that customers can carry out payment transactions without disruption.

Additionally, the NBG will proceed with its regular monetary operations, including publishing the TIBR index and the official exchange rate.

For those interested in NBG’s collectible products, sales will resume on January 13, 2025. The Kvareli Money Museum will reopen on January 11, 2025.
