Chairman of the Adjara Government, Tornike Rizhvadze, and Mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani, got acquainted with the consequences of the heavy snowfall and the current situation in the region.

According to Tornike Rizhvadze, road-clearing operations are currently taking place across all administrative units: “Significant snowfall and precipitation have caused issues in mountainous Adjara. Consequently, road-clearing work is ongoing in all administrative units. While there are disruptions in electricity supply, we are coordinating closely with the Central Motorway Department and all energy companies to minimize the impact on our citizens”.

Besides, a main water supply pipe in the Tamari settlement of Batumi was accidentally damaged, and repair work is currently underway.
