As a result of operational measures and investigative actions jointly conducted by the employees of the Main Department for Fight Against Illicit Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, citizens of Ukraine: E.B. (DoB 2004), and I.B. (DoB 1984) were arrested on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics.

The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

As a result of personal search and search activities held in temporary places of residence, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of narcotic drug – “Methadone”.

As a result of investigative actions, the police also seized electric scales as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
