The Georgian Dream faction nominated the candidacy of Akaki Aladashvili to the position of Deputy Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee; the candidate was unanimously approved.

The Committee Chairman, David Matikashvili provided information about the number of members of the Interim Commission on Women and Children Affairs and the proportional representative quotas.

"Upon the effective date of the amendments introduced to the Rules of Procedure, the Standing Councils shall be annulled and the functions of the Interim Commissions shall be enhanced. Correspondingly, the Standing Councils shall be replaced with the Interim Commissions with the extended mandate. Stemming from the above, the Interim Commission on Women and Children Affairs is being set up, now requiring the determination of the number of its members and the designation of the proportional quotas", - he stated.

According to him, Commission shall be composed of 10 Members of Parliament, where the Faction "Georgian Dream" will be represented by five members, the Political Group "People`s Power" - two members, the Political Group "European Socialists" - one member, and two quotas are allocated for the non-Faction MPs. The Committee approved the introduced issues.
