Georgian Sports Minister meets, Shalva Gogoladze, discussed the possibilities of holding a UFC event in Georgia with UFC President Dana White

Shalva Gogoladze, Georgia’s Minister of Sport, met with UFC President Dana White during the UFC 316 event in Newark.

The meeting was organised by David Natroshvili, founder of long-time UFC partner company SPRIBE.

Gogoladze highlighted the significant strides Georgia has made in developing its sports infrastructure and formally extended an invitation for the UFC to host an event in the country.

Both parties agreed to initiate negotiations and preparatory work aimed at organising a future UFC event in Georgia.

They also talked about the prospects for the development of MMA in Georgia.

Discussions also revolved around the future prospects of MMA development in Georgia.

Gogoladze informed White about the upcoming MMA World Championship slated to be held in Georgia and invited the UFC President to attend the event.
