Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani and the Commander of the Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Giorgi Matiashvili, inspected the construction of the Cadet Military Lyceum in Krtsanisi and the implementation of the second stage of the “Army City” project on Mount Makhata. They inspected the construction works and heard a detailed report on the progress of the project from the responsible persons.

In Krtsanisi, buildings have already been built, rehabilitation and repair works have been carried out, where barracks for cadets, classrooms, the school administration and the infirmary will be located. A staging area and a checkpoint have been organized.

The works on laying internal communications and improvement of the lyceum territory are in the final phase. After completion, the school will be able to accept up to 350 cadets.

On Makhata Mountain, the construction of 39 out of 44 seven-story residential buildings envisaged in the 2nd phase of the “Military City” project is actively underway. Construction of the floor frames has begun in 28 buildings, and the foundations of 11 buildings are currently being laid.
