Prisoners pardoned by the President of Georgia leave prisons - a total of 159 convicted individuals have already been released from penitentiary institutions.

Mikheil Kavelashvili exercised his exclusive constitutional authority, basing the decision on the principles of humanism and the interests of the state. The act of clemency aims to promote rehabilitation and social reintegration, while reflecting the Government’s commitment to humanitarian values.
