We are actively working on the construction of Tbilisi International Airport in Vaziani. The Prime Minister said this during his annual address to the Parliament.

“We assume that the construction process will begin at the end of next year and will be completed by the end of 2031. After the contract with the existing airport expires, a new international airport will begin operating, which will serve approximately 20 million passengers.

We have a forecast according to which the passenger flow in our country will increase annually and, of course, the new Tbilisi International Airport should respond to this.

The construction of new terminals of Telavi and Mestia Airports would also begin soon… Construction is planned to begin in October and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028. We will have a new airport in Telavi for domestic flights and we will have a completely new terminal at Mestia Airport”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
