The Agency for IDPs will purchase residential houses for up to 300 internally displaced families across the country.
The list of families for whom the Commission for the Study of IDP Issues made a positive resettlement decision has already been published on the agency’s website.
Internally displaced families are given a 6-month period to select houses themselves in any region of Georgia and submit them to the agency.
“It is noteworthy that for the purpose of resettling IDP families, alongside the construction of residential complexes, the house purchase program has recently acquired a particular scale. This year, the agency has already purchased houses for 1,640 IDP families.
The process of providing internally displaced families with housing will continue in an even more active mode in the future”, - reads the statement of the agency.
