Mikheil Kiknadze appointed Acting Culture Minister of Georgia

Mikheil Kiknadze will serve as the Acting Minister of Culture of Georgia.

"By the July 28, 2026 decree of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, Mikheil Kiknadze was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, and he will temporarily fulfill the duties of the Minister.

Mikheil Kiknadze is an economist by profession and possesses many years of experience working in leadership positions within the public service.

Since 2025, he has been working within the system of the Ministry of Culture.

Prior to his appointment to the position of First Deputy Minister of Culture, Mikheil Kiknadze held the post of Head of the Internal Audit and Monitoring Department of the Ministry", - reads the statement of the Ministry of Culture.
