Maia Bitadze appointed as Georgia’s new Minister of Culture

Maia Bitadze has been appointed as the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Prime Minister announced during a briefing at the Government Administration.

“She does not need any special introduction to the public. Mrs. Maia Bitadze possesses exceptional and long-standing management experience. Over many years, she held various high-ranking positions, including serving as the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi, where she also oversaw the cultural sector for a certain period.

Since 2020, Mrs. Maia Bitadze has been a Member of the Parliament of Georgia and Chairperson of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee of the Parliament of Georgia”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
