Merab Gamkrelidze, Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, presented the new heads to the employees of the structural divisions of the Service.

According to his decision, personnel changes were made at the Investigation Service. The Tbilisi Main Division of the Investigation Department, as well as the Kakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli regional structural divisions of the Service, will have new heads.

Giorgi Kharshiladze was appointed Head of the Tbilisi Main Division of the Investigation Department, Giorgi Javakhishvili – Head of the Kakheti Regional Division, Giorgi Korsantia – Head of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Division, and Paata Gordashvili – Head of the Kvemo Kartli structural division.

Within the framework of the meeting, Merab Gamkrelidze, together with the newly appointed heads of the regional divisions, discussed the existing challenges in terms of detection of financial and economic crimes, effective investigation and crime prevention. He also spoke about the future plans and priority areas for strengthening and developing the Service. The Head of Investigation Service gave relevant assignments to the newly appointed heads.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Service.
