Today, members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) signed the Code of Ethics for the upcoming by-elections to the representative bodies of municipalities Sakrebulos.

By signing the Code of Ethics, CEC members commit to performing their functions in accordance with the principles set out in the document. These principles include respect for the law, maintaining political neutrality, and carrying out their duties with integrity, independence, impartiality, objectivity and transparency. The Code also emphasizes high standards of professionalism and collegiality.

It is noteworthy that, for several years, members of election commissions at all levels of the election administration have signed the Code of Ethics following the calling of elections.

The signing of the Code of Ethics will take place in several stages. Today, the Code was signed by CEC members, while at the next stage, members of District and Precinct Election Commissions will sign the document.

As a reminder, on 3 October, voters will elect four majoritarian members of the Sakrebulos of the municipalities of Akhmeta, Vani, Tsalka and Dmanisi.
