Kakha Kaladze urges public to participate in Health Screening Programs to minimize risks

The Mayor of Tbilisi urges public to participate in health screening programs to minimize risks.

"As part of the "Disease Screening" program, Tbilisi City Hall funds breast cancer screening for women aged 40 to 70. The program includes a consultation and examination by a mammologist, as well as a mammogram.

If an abnormality is detected, an ultrasound examination, biopsy, and cytology are performed. I would once again like to urge everyone to take advantage of this program and these screenings to protect your health - the health of every woman. I wish you all good health.

We offer preventive programs designed to reduce risks and provide you with information about your health. It is worth noting that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer worldwide, including in Georgia. Consequently, timely diagnosis and regular screening conducted before symptoms appear are prerequisites for reducing the risk of disease progression and mortality", - said Kakha Kaladze.
