We are used to attacks on the Georgian people from the European bureaucracy, and this is nothing but another attack on the Georgian people, on our country, which is very unfortunate. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this while responding to the statements made about Georgia prior to the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Luxembourg.

As he noted, there are, of course, many countries in the European Union that understand the importance of Georgia very well from both a political and economic standpoint; however, there are appointed bureaucrats and appointed politicians who act not in accordance with Europe’s objective interests, but under the influence of other forces.

Of course, it is in Europe’s objective interest to cooperate as closely as possible with Georgia - this is the objective interest of the EU; however, there are individuals who do not act in accordance with the objective interests of the EU and constantly attack the Georgian people, which is an absolutely unacceptable phenomenon”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
