Positive trends in foreign trade continue, and according to the 9-month indicators, both export and domestic export figures are record-breaking. According to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, exports have increased by approximately 20% and exceed 6.1 billion USD, while the volume of domestic exports has increased by more than 60% and exceeds 3.7 billion USD.
As Vakhtang Tsintsadze noted, this positive dynamics is precisely the result of the support mechanisms and policies that the state implements to aid local production.
"The Government of Georgia promotes the development of local production; we possess support mechanisms to increase access to finance, which practically stimulates exports. Among other factors, the Government of Georgia has free trade agreements in place, which also encourage exports. The Government continues active work, including the implementation of structural reforms aimed at supporting the private sector and increasing business sector activity, which ultimately ensures high economic growth on the one hand, and creates additional new jobs in the country on the other", - said Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
In September 2026, exports increased by 4.0% and reached a record volume for the month of September at 731.5 million USD. Domestic exports (exports excluding re-exports) increased by 41.0% compared to September of the previous year and equaled a monthly record volume of 470.7 million USD.
Furthermore, in January–September 2026, exports increased by 19.6% and reached a record volume of 6,153.2 million USD. Domestic exports increased by 60.3% and equaled a record volume of 3,756.5 million USD.
