Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia has responded to European Georgia"s initiative in regard to the Constitutional amendments. The opposition party launches opinion polls regarding the legislative amendments and is going to collect the necessary signatures for holding a plebiscite.

Irakli Kobakhidze assesses the initiative of European Georgia as a speculation and draws attention to public awareness.

"When you ask a person which is better, to choose yourself or let someone to choose instead of you , of course the answer is - I prefer to choose myself. Because we do not provide the society with full information on the system"s essence, "said Irakli Kobakhidze.
