The Ministry of Internal Affairs has begun to study the facts of violence, committed by monk Nikoloz against the patrol police officer.
The monk himself remains in the house of one of the members of the parish.
Members of his parish say that yesterday"s incident was initiated by the Patrol Police and the aggression was coming from law enforcers. The parish thinks that the monk Nikoloz is persecuted by the Patriarchate.

Monk Nikoloz Makarashvili and his parish opposed the law enforcers yesterday night. The police were mobilized in front of the house where a clergyman used to live in recent months.

The monk physically assaulted the police officers. Prior to that, he tried to break the law enforcers" cordon with his car.
