According to Mikheil Saakashvili, he expected to be arrested, but not in such a brutal way. According to him, when the Special Forces attempted to break into his house, he went up to the roof and won the time in order to mobilize the people.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, when he was on the roof, he told the Special Forces that if they approached hm, he would slide down the roof . Thus he was able to keep them away, and the people had tme to gather at his home.
