Another test for Ukraine - EU foreign ministers are assessing current developments

Mikhail Saakashvili"s detention has been evaluated by the EU foreign ministers in Brussels. EU foreign ministers meeting in being held in Belgian capital. According to them, the government should do everything in the fight against corruption.

"It"s a very painful and important challenge to fight corruption, we should view this area as important and prioritized. In addition to Russian aggression, corruption is the number one enemy for Ukraine, "said Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevich.

The Foreign Ministers say about the detention of Mikheil Saakashvili that these are internal issues of Ukraine.

"As for Saakashvili, this is an internal affair of Ukraine and we are looking forward to legitimacy. We hope that the judicial system will work perfectly and the rule of law will be protected, this is another test and I hope that Ukraine will pass this exam, "- said Linas Linkevich.

The heads of the Foreign Ministries are hoping for the rule of law as well as the development of events.

"Estonia, as well as the rest of the EU member states, are committed to cooperation with Kiev in order to resolve internal problems and continue reforms that are important for the Euro Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine," - said Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Michaer
