Another citizen of Georgia, Giorgi Margoshvili has died in Syria. Salahuddin al-Shishan was heading Jaish al-Muhajireen, the ally of Al Qaeda and fought against the Assad government as well as the "Islamic State".

Giorgi Margoshvili participated in the Lopota"s special operation in 2012. In particular, it is known that he guided Akhmed Chataev"s group of 17 people, but in 2013 he left Georgia without any obstacles, crossed the border checkpoint, moved to Turkey and joined extremist fighters.

About 30 Georgians have died in Syria.
