The Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia has turned 85 years old, but the official reception and a festive dinner will not be held in the Patriarchate. Due to the poor health condition of Ilia II.

The only event that is planned in the Patriarchate today is the presentation of a new version of the Bible.

Irakli Shiolashvili was born in Vladikavkaz on January 4, 1933, in the family of Giorgi Gudushauri-Shiolashvili and Natalia Kobaidze.
