Punishment for using of exclusiveauthorty granted by Constitution - Saakashvili was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment

Mikheil Saakashvili was sentenced to 3 years" imprisonment for using the exclusiveauthority granted by the constitution. Judge Giorgi Arvevadze found the third president of Georgia guilty in the case on pardoning .

The motivated ruling will be passed in a few days, but Saakashvili"s lawyers have no expectation that the document will be legally valid. Former presidential attorney accused Judge Arevadze in violation of the constitution. Mikheil Saakashvili"s defense is convinced that the verdict is politically motivated.

Supporters of the Third President of Georgia accuse the Prosecutor of the case of executing political orders. Irakli Nadareishvili , the representative of the Prosecutor"s Office argues that the third president of Georgia was not convicted for using the right of pardon, but for the abuse of power.

Attorney Beka Basilaia believes that today"s verdict is a warning to all other leaders of the country. The attorney claimed that a precedent emerged that the exclusive rights of high officials of the state would be subject to the revision of the Prosecutor"s Office from now on.
