Bidzina Ivanishvili expressed his condolences to the family of academician Marika Lortkipanidze. The former prime minister arrived in the cathedral with his wife. Bidzina Ivanishvili did not comment to the media.

Marika Lortkipanidze will be buried at the pantheon of Didube"s writers and public figures.

The famous Georgian scientist and historian Marika Lortkipanidze died at the age of 95. She was ill for the last period. She has published more than 100 scientific works, including 10 books. Along with other ranks, she was the honorary citizen of Tbilisi.
