The Council for Narcopolitics discussed the issue of drug abuse at the Ministry of Justice. According to Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia, his office is ready for implementing humane drug policy.

"Smuggling and selling of drugs in the country - here we see serious risks and we believe that this direction is the direction in which strict approaches are not maintained, some of them can be tough," he said.

The minister said that the solution will be humane drug policy.

"We understand that humane drug policy, complex drug policy, is the only way out and I want to emphasize that our humane policy and approach to drug use should be balanced," Giorgi Gagaria said.
